MAIN AUDITORIUM

Colin Adams, Commercialisation Director, University of Edinburgh School of Informatics

Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the School of Informatics

The School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh is the largest research department of its type in Europe and the highest rated in the UK according to the latest Research Assessment Exercises.

The talk will address some of the programs which have been put in place to capitalise on this excellence in encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship from both the research and Student body so the School can be a driver for much more economic activity within the local community. It will also look at ways in which we are attempting to bring the local Industrial base and established Entrepreneurs closer to the activities of the School to aid in this work.
